Frances L. Huntsman



Frances L. Huntsman, 88, Mound City, Missouri went to be with the Lord in her Heavenly home on Wednesday, January 17, 2018.

She was born July 2, 1929 to Clyde and Dorothy (Elder) Brown in Mound City, Missouri.

Frances married Kenneth Huntsman on October 10, 1948; he preceded her in death on February 28, 2005.

She treasured her accomplishments in life: teacher assistant at Mound City Elementary, she was a queen candidate from Holt County for the Apple Blossom Parade. Frances was a member of Shiloh Evangelical Church and later the United Methodist Church. She did a lot of volunteer work for the United Methodist Church which included helping weekly with Bingo at Tiffany Heights Nursing Home and other special projects. Frances was a member of Eastern Star, VFW Auxiliary, Maitland Community Betterment, and a charter member of Omega Club.

She loved spending time with family and friends and was passionate about bowling. Frances had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include daughters, Debbie Huntsman, Kay Huntsman; sons, Billy Huntsman (Dawn), Robert Huntsman (Tammy Long); 2 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Clyde Brown, Jr. (Garla); 1 niece and 2 nephews.

Farewell Services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday at United Methodist Church in Mound City, Missouri. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Saturday at Pettijohn and Crawford Funeral Service in Mound City, Missouri.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to United Methodist Church.   Online guest book and obituary at
